Candice Watkins Robinson, MA, is a Washington, DC–based consultant whose experience spans two decades and includes senior roles within leading public relations agencies where she led health communications for state and federal government, professional associations, and healthcare companies. This experience also includes roles in public health education, where she aligned messaging and community outreach to support informed decision-making.
A skilled project manager and strategist, Candice has overseen campaigns and programs addressing critical health issues, including maternal mortality, adverse childhood experiences, diabetes, chronic disease management, emergency preparedness, and food insecurity. Prior to founding Power of Public, Candice was Senior Vice President and Director of Multicultural Marketing and Communications for Hager Sharp, where she delivered high-impact results for organizations including the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Candice specializes in helping public sector and other mission-driven organizations turn strategy into coordinated action. Her work sits at the intersection of strategic communications, stakeholder alignment, and program execution, ensuring initiatives are not only well-designed but also effectively implemented. Because of her foundation in health education, Candice brings a practical, user-experience approach to planning—always clarifying priorities and translating intent into communications that resonate with the audience. She enjoys working with account teams, leadership teams, and communities in equal measure to move efforts from planning to progress.
Candice holds a Master of Arts in Communication from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from the University of Maryland, College Park.
